🤩 Slowly but surely y’all…I am putting my craft apron back on + dipping my toes back into work + workshops! And it is making this crafters heart so happy!!

I’ll be honest. I had this idea that I would pop out baby Jax + be back at work in a month - adorable baby on hip, hair teased, + bright lipstick on 🤣🤣 And well, I tried but after some strict words from my doctor + some seriously painful days - it took me longer than I had planned to feel up for my pink studio shenanigans! Tbh there have even been moments that have brought me to my knees + created thoughts of not coming back to work from maternity leave. 🤦🏼‍♀️ That’s a story for another day…

But over my little hiatus from community events + workshops I have been so intensely reminded of how important this community is to me! How much I crave the connection of you all walking through life along side me. The good, the bad, the fun, the hard! 👯‍♀️ This weekend as I taught a class - glass of wine in hand 🙌🏻, + our pink walls filled with laughter + stories from friends new + old - that passion + inspiration once again bubbled over in my soul. ✨

While I know things will be forever different when it comes to the balance of my work/personal life, it is something that I know I HAVE to have in my life! That the energy + feelings that the pink studio brings to the craft table is something that is NEEDED, not just for me but for everyone that walks through her pretty little doors!

So stay tuned as I try to figure out how to juggle the whole baby raising/community connecting/business building thing! I have a feeling it’s going to be a fun little adventure for me + Jax!! Oh + feel free to send any advice on how to do it my way!!! This new momma needs it!! 💕💕

Jaxon Page Rindskopf 💙 You have certainly stollen our hearts over the last 3 weeks + your little blue boy self deserves a permanent spot on my pink feed!

I have spent a lot of time lately thinking about time + life while I sit here + look at his perfect little features. It is not lost on me that two years ago this week I was closing the studio up for “4 weeks” and that our world was about to change. Then this week last year, I shared with you all that Jason and I had started our fertility journey that was a long time coming and that I could see light at the end of the tunnel! And now this year, on the week that you were due, I am sitting here - tired as all get out + loving it - looking at that little light that is YOU sweet Jax! ✨

Life has thrown curve balls at all of us over the last two years. We have all had moments of defeat, of hardship, of not knowing what the future holds. I know that personally for Jason + Me, the last 750 days has held a lot of stress that revolved around both of us being small business owners, trying to get pregnant, then actually being pregnant. And it can be easy to let yourself get wrapped up in all the non Instagramable moments + messy stuff that comes with life.

But then I am reminded of the preciousness of time and how important it is to take a beat + find your perspective. For me, the past two years has been a constant reminder there is always inspiration + happiness to be found if you are looking for it. Even in the hard moments!

So today as I am covered in spit up, wearing two day old clothes + rocking tired eyes, I am saying a little prayer that Jason + I pass along our ability to find the positive to our little guy. And I am going to be drinking in all the Jax snuggles + celebrating all the ways that life is pretty darn sweet 💙

I couldn’t let today pass by without wishing the most amazing baby daddy the happiest birthday!!! Each year, I love celebrating him because he is constantly the biggest celebrator of me! And this year is a big birthday for him…not just because of the number on top of the cake (which I will not mention 😳!) but because this is the year that some pretty incredible things are happening in our lives! 🙌🏻

Jason Page, you are one incredible man! You are the reason this pink little business of mine exists, the reason that I have found my purpose, + why I find light + happiness in the every day! Your hard work + drive in all you do is so inspiring. I can’t wait to watch you continue to build your business this year + become the cutest dad ever! So today on your birthday, I am celebrating all the wonderfulness that makes you…well, YOU! I love you + thank you for putting up with all my shenanigans!!! 💕💕

I know i know…I said yesterday was my last works

I know i know…I said yesterday was my last workshop…but today. TODAY! Is my last day sending pretty little parcels full of delightful smells out the door! I swear!!!

Y’all have kept me busy this year with our online orders + workshops + I can’t say thank you enough! We had the best time pouring up a storm as we rolled through thousands of pounds of wax, crafted hundreds of unique scents, + sent candles out all over the US this holiday season!

I have seen that graphic circulating that says you are currently living one of the dreams you have wished/prayed for! And as I pack up the final few boxes, I can’t help but think about how true that is. For me personally for sure 🤰🏼but it is also so true from a business sense! And while there have been moments this year I have forgotten that, I have been trying to refocus on this!

I have always wanted to be able to provide a value to my community. To find a way to make the world a little brighter. ⭐️ And I get this sounds cheesy + maybe NBD to some, but whether it is having friends gathered around our craft table creating memories while we pour candles, helping someone gift the cutest + perfect smelling gift, or making your home smell cozy, inviting,+ seasonal for your holiday guests…All of that spins it’s little yarn to help me feel like I am providing a little bit of that value I want to give to you + helps me live out a dream of mine! 💕

If you are a small business owner out there reading this, I hope you take a few minutes today to reflect on how you ARE living a dream you have wished for. The ways that you have impacted your community during yet another hard year. Because you have! Sometimes we get so wrapped up with being busy + tired this time of year that it’s hard to see just how amazing it is that we are here, still standing + still showing up for our people + our dreams. I’m a big believer that big or small, each of us putting those dreams into actions help make this world a little bit better 🙌🏻🙌🏻

So this year as I slip out of work mode + finally into my family mode, I am going to carry that gratefulness with me + I hope you do to! 🥰

Welp! We are officially two days before Christmas

Welp! We are officially two days before Christmas + these three packages are the ONLY wrapping I have managed to do this year 😳 + spoiler…they are empty!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Every year I cross my little heart that I am going to scale back with business + take time to enjoy the season. I was especially hell bent on this for this particular year since my energy levels are low + it is Jason and my last Christmas as a fam of 2! A nice easy lead up to Christmas full of delightfully chill holiday activities was just what the dr ordered!

Y’all I crack myself up! 🤣My grand plan lasted approximately 2 days!

All of a sudden I blinked + here we are! As I prepare for our last holiday workshop today + I look around the studio covered in wax + smelling so sweet, I just realized that I need to come to grips with the fact that I’m just not a slow down type of gal…at least not when it comes to the holidays! 🤣

The thing is, a huge part of what I love about the holidays is filling our little pink walls full of groups of people who are celebrating!

Celebrating a girls night out, creating memories with their littles, have a mom + daughter party, cutting loose with their coworkers, hanging out with friends they haven’t seen in a while! Those nights creates an important part of the holiday magic for me!

So today with (really) tired feet + with more dry shampoo in my hair than I should admit, I’m ok with the fact that my presents aren’t wrapped + my idea of an easy peasy holiday went out the window! Because while I may have missed a few holiday moments, at the end of the day I have gotten to witness the best of the holiday spirit + happiness in our community over the last couple of months as we whipped up some magic at our workshops!

And that makes my heart so happy and makes this little light of mine burn a little brighter! ⭐️

Ok ok, enough chitty chatting! I have lots of wrapping to do 🙌🏻🙌🏻

This is the story of an accidental chandler! 🕯

Yesterday I was dropping off an order + one of my friends kiddos ran up + said, are you the candle lady? Well yep, I guess so, I replied…I suppose I’m the accidental candle maker! 🤷🏼‍♀️

This little comment had me reflecting. 5 years ago when I opened this sweet + pink little studio, I had zero intention of being in the candle business. 🙅🏼‍♀️

My vision for my biz surrounded workshops with creatives + out of the box events. Sure, we could throw a couple of candle classes in here + there because they were a REAL good time! 🍷👯‍♀️But I never thought that this would be something that I was living + creating every day!

But then the pandemic hit + we all made changes. I took something that was fun + familiar for me to help make ends meet while we weren’t able to sit around the craft table together. And then when we started socializing again a little more, we started doing private candle workshops to help me scratch that itch of community but in a safe + controlled environment!

And here we are. TwentyOne Months later + candles are my jam. I have been having the best time growing my business by using some of my skills that have been sitting dormant (like my talents developed during my tenure as a spritzer girl!), adding my passion for that non-toxic life, + of course, creation to make up some pretty stellar clean candles + creative scents these days. And honestly, I love dreaming + scheming up where these little candles + delightful smells will take my business.

From our private workshops, our white label private candles, our candle bar that is open daily, to our sweet little online retail store. It seems these days that I AM the candle lady in the pink studio, which until yesterday I hadn’t realized.

It’s crazy how change happens so quickly + so slowly at the same time that sometimes you don’t notice it. Suddenly, you find yourself transformed into something that you didn’t know you would become but you love it! And that is pretty sweet!

Shewwww Y’all! I don’t think I have felt more like the oxiclean infomercial guy in my life than I have over the last week as we “celebrated” black friday, small business saturday, and cyber monday! SALE! SALE! SALE! 📣📣📣

Selling DOES NOT come naturally to me. Sharing my talents, teaching, + being creative. Those are my jam - but when it comes to actually making sales….I hate it. I tell Jason all the time that my dream job would be a craft philanthropist, where I just got to create for others all the time - with no price tag attached! But then the hubs/biz manager reminds me that isn’t how it works when you have a brick + motor with lots of bills associated with it. 🤦🏼‍♀️

So I put my biz hat on + put myself out there even though it makes me super uncomfortable + I can’t tell you all how much it means to me to have this community that supports me! 💕To have people gift our products that are hand crafted with a whole lot of attention + care, to have people advocate for me + share my posts so that others can learn about us, + to have you all bring our products into your own homes to help create an oh so cozy ambiance! Oh + to gather around our craft table, crafting + creating memories!

I am feeling very grateful today that you all let me + my lil business be apart of your lives! So today as I throw on the ol craft apron + create all the goodies that were sold this weekend to help you celebrate the holidays, my heart feels like it has grown 3 sizes (my feet too…but i am pretty sure that is a pregnancy thing 😂 !) From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much + I can’t wait to send all these AMAZING smelling gifts out the door to help make someone else day just as bright as you all have made mine! ✨
