EEEEKKK!! This holiday season we are super excited because our sweet little team at Bells Box Collective is GROWING!
Earlier this year I set out to find someone to bring to the team that would be able to handle all the craft projects and the hare brained ideas that my right brained self threw their way. And my ideal candidate had to also be all the things that I errrr….well am not. You know, things like super organized and detail oriented!
After searching for a bit, I had come to the conclusion that this type of unicorn didn’t exist and I had settled on the fact that I was just going to have to try to continue to run my businesses solo.
And then in walked Megan!
I met Megan earlier this year when she helped co host an event at our space for the wedding pros in our area. She was funny and sweet….and she rocked some seriously fun eye makeup! Instantly, I loved that she was this unique combination of an old soul and a super cute ball of energy. Fast forward a few months to when I found out that she was looking to take on a job while she was building her business as a makeup artist. Insert happy dance here because I just knew that she was exactly what I was looking for.
I just knew that she was the perfect combination to fill this position that I had been searching for! In the few short weeks that Megan has been my Girl Friday, I have found more and more reasons to love her and all that she is doing to help my business. I cant wait to introduce her to you because trust me…you are going to think she is pretty sweet!
Meet Megan!
Hi! I am Megan Oliveri and I was born and raised on Long Island, NY. I moved here to the sweet mountainous North Carolina about 2 years ago because my family needed to make the move! This move was the thing I never knew I needed, It pushed me in ways that I didn’t know I was capable of handling. If you don’t see me out and about drinking a smoothie or taking a hike on some mountain than I am probably at home baking cookies, drinking some wine and enjoying a movie with my sweet boyfriend, Victor.
Tell us some of the things are super passionate about!
- Body Positivity! I have struggled with body image and self confidence for as long as I can remember. Within the past couple years I started to realize all that is wrong with our society with how we treat people that are outside of the ideal beauty standards. Women especially deal with so much criticism on a day to day basis and I want to be a part of the movement that helps women feel empowered, strong and beautiful in their own skin.
- The environment and animal rights!! About three years ago now, I started watching a bunch of documentaries and my mind was blown by all of the things that I didn’t know was happening with the food that we consume. I stopped eating meat that next week and I never looked back! If you ever want me to chew your ear off about why broccoli rocks my world, let me know.
- Love! I know, that is so super corny but I love to love people. I am so passionate about making people smile and helping them with the things I can in their life. If I could write everyone I meet a handwritten note and buy them a cookie to brighten their day, I would!! At the end of my life, that is the one that I hope that I can achieve, just to make people smile.
What made you want to work at Bells Box Collective?
I was drawn to Bells Box because of Cory’s sweet and kind spirit and her drive to make people feel welcome and celebrated. The fun loving and hard working environment that Cory has created at Bells Box makes it such an enjoyable place to work and craft. I mean, how many people get to wake up and say “I’m heading to work to go craft!” I feel very lucky to be a part of this team and I can’t wait to see what we will create together!!
