This podcast has been in the making for quite some time and I’m so excited that you’re here.

Well hold on. Before we go there, let me back up. In 2015, I was working out of my Home Office to build my online wedding planning business. Outside of getting to bombard my husband as soon as he walked through the door at night with all of the thoughts and plans and dreams that I’d come up with that day, my main source of connection was with my dog and my cat. And let me tell you while they are cute and cuddly as all can be, I wouldn’t say they provided me the most support and inspiration for my business. Here I was trying to build this thing I was so passionate about, but instead I was failing because I’d forgotten the most important thing about me as a creative. Instead of being so excited that I was in an opportunity to create this business that I had been dreaming about.
I was letting the worry, the weight, the aloneness, the confusion….. All the stuff that comes with starting a business take over and it caused my passion to fade and quite frankly made me feel like throwing my hands up more often than not. What I wish I could do is go back and tell that girl, holy cow, you are so not alone. Stop trying to do everything on your own and that you need to connect with what it is that inspires and propels you. For me, that inspiration comes from the connectivity that community brings and I think that there are a lot of us in that very same boat. You see, the second that I took myself outside that Home Office and became determined to find my community come hell or high water, I started to see my business grow. Not only did I start to see opportunities present themselves, but suddenly this scary, overwhelming world of entrepreneurship became a place that was opening doors and fueling my soul with a whole lot of inspiration.
I was connecting with women that had worked through some of the same hurdles I was up against and they had some great advice to share and as it turned out, so did I. fast forward to today and our sweet pink studio that I was mentioning since opening our doors, we’ve gotten to meet so many amazing and talented women that are out there changing the world in their own right, and guess what? They’ve all been right where that girl was. That was struggling not to cry every day because the idea wasn’t working out as easily as I thought it would. Who had to find a way to pick herself up after an epic mess or oversight that caused an unhappy client who didn’t know her way and balancing building a business, having a life, working out, and having a healthy relationship.
That’s why we’re here today. After having conversation after conversation with my community, I realized that there can never be enough support, advice, and inspiration for small business owners and entrepreneurs. There can never be enough of us cheering on our tribe as female entrepreneurs and encouraging us to all create something through our passions. Throughout this podcast, we’re going to dive into the good, the bad, the ugly of being a female entrepreneur and small business owner from how to pick yourself up from the pitfalls that we’ve all experienced to the
