You guys! I have to tell you about my new friend Michelle. I met Michelle when she attended one of our Pinot & Petals workshop earlier this year. A few days later, she replied to a post that I sent out on Pink Social looking for new educators.
And the rest, as they say, is history!
Come to find out Michelle is not only super crafty and amazing but she also owns the cutest shop in Concord called Hive & Co (and as of this week in Salisbury too!) They sell the most lovely locally made goods, all from right here in North Carolina and they host awesome workshops at their shops. When I found out that her passions aligned so well with mine, I just had to have her in to teach a class with us!
Read more below to find out more about this succulent sweetie and why we are so excited to have her stop by the studio and teach us her crafty ways to us next week at our DIY Terrarium Workshop!
What made you want to teach a workshop?
I absolutely love teaching workshops at our shop, Hive & Co in Concord. From macrame to kokedama to terrarium workshops. They are so much fun! I am also looking to reach out to different geographical locations in the area and share our craft.
When/how did you discover your passion for teaching?
I taught High School are for 7 years and have my masters in Art Education. I have always had a love for teaching and there is nothing better than seeing the work that goes into a project and then getting to see the final outcome!
Tell us some fun things about yourself!
I am OBSESSED with plants! I also am pretty obsessed with my 3 puppies and love getting involved with Animal Rescue groups any way that I can to give back!
Puppies and Plants?! See we told you she was awesome. You know we love us some plants and puppies and we are so excited for her to show us her ways of creating a cool terrarium that we can proudly display! Bonus, no green thumb is required for this workshop so sign me up!!
Don’t miss out on our DIY terrarium workshop next week as Michelle walks us through all the steps to build out the perfect mini garden from her garden bar. Oh, and did we mention that all the plants are locally grown here in North Carolina?!! Grab your tickets here and we can’t wait to build something green and beautiful with you!
