Next week we will be filling our sweet little studio with eager students who are there to learn the art of hand lettering from Candace Primm!
We had a chance to sit down and learn a little more about her and our thoughts were confirmed….She IS THE CUTEST ever! Check out her educator profile below and see for yourself!
BBCollective: Candace, we are so excited to have you join us as an instructor! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
CandaceP: I am an Arkansas Farm girl through and through who moved to the city with my dog, Gunner, to seek new adventure.
I enjoy hanging in a hammock, watching Harry Potter and trying new restaurants in my free time.
I have a gypsy soul and would travel the world in an instant.
I have an addiction to audiobooks and never have the radio on in my car.
Fun dip is the best candy EVER.
I took a class in high school that taught how to chant like an auctioneer.
I have a degree in Hospitality Management and love anything pineapple themed.
My dream place to travel is New Zealand.
I have a bucket list and require myself to check off at least one item per year, this year it is skydiving!
BBCollective: When did you discover your passion for hand lettering?
CandaceP: I discovered this passion for hand lettering in the past two years in seeing beautiful wedding creations in my work. I always admired my mother’s handwriting and tried to mimic it as a kid. Pen to paper is one of my favorite things as I moved away from all my best friends and we began sending each other packages to keep close. Nothing is better than a handwritten note in your mailbox!
BBCollective: What are some of your other creative outlets?
CandaceP: My creative outlets include everything wedding. I love the dresses, style boards, rentals, etc. The best feeling is taking a vision on paper to real life. I love love love creating tablescapes for any kind of party!
BBCollective: What made you want to teach a workshop?
CandaceP: I wanted to teach the workshop because I felt in learning hand lettering it was hard to find a class that was the very basics of lettering. In the beginning, it is frustrating to jump into a class that is beyond your knowledge and try to keep up.
See??!? Didn’t we tell you that she was the cutest?! We love getting to know our educators and can’t wait to spend the evening learning the art of hand lettering from her next Tuesday night!
